The full garden will span 11 hectares on the UNBC campus in Prince George, BC and include immersive, themed areas that reflect the seasons, Indigenous teachings, and local ecology.

DAVID DOUGLAS EDUCATIONAL DISPLAY GARDEN

Come walk among the native plants and peaceful pathways of the David Douglas Education Display Garden, the first phase of Khasdzoon Yusk’ut Botanical Garden. Located on the Ring Road between Parking Lots A and B at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in Prince George, BC, this beautifully designed space is open to the public and offers a glimpse into the garden’s growing vision.

Interpretive signage that shares the stories of Northern BC’s resilient flora
Thoughtfully curated plantings that reflect Indigenous knowledge and ecological stewardship
A tranquil setting for walking, learning, and connecting with nature

VISIT THE GROWING SITE OF KHASDZOON YUSK’UT BOTANICAL GARDEN

The full Khasdzoon Yusk’ut Botanical Garden is currently under development in a separate area of the UNBC campus located near the university’s Residence Housing and adjacent to the UNBC Daycare. It’s open to the public during its building stages.

We invite you to walk the site, explore the land, and witness the transformation as it happens. Each visit offers something new from freshly planted beds to new interpretive features and evolving landscapes shaped by the hands of our dedicated volunteers.
